Each year, young people aged 11-14 who live or go to school in Staffordshire are encouraged to read a range of fiction books and vote for their favourite to win a Staffordshire Young Teen Fiction Award.

For the 2024 award cycle, Staffordshire Librarians have created a top 20 list of the most popular young teen books published within the last year. To view the full list and see how you can borrow each title, visit the Staffordshire County Council website.

Once you have read one or several of the titles, use the form on the above website to choose your favourite. This vote will close in one week on the 15th of March 2024 at 5 pm.

This vote will determine a shortlist of 6 titles which will again be open for votes from the 21st of March 2024.

The final winner will be announced at the Young Teen Fiction Award Ceremony at RAF Museum, Midlands on the 2nd of July 2024, with young people invited by their school libraries in attendance.
