My Promise

Every single young person deserves a say in their future, and politics offers them the chance to have this, but many see it as out of reach.

I will involve the young people in my District in my actions as a Youth Councillor, making sure I act upon the issues that you care about, and use valuable connections to amplify your voice, giving you the chance to shape your future.

• December 2023 – February 2024

  I have taken part in and promoted initiatives designed to give young people a chance to voice their opinions, and will continue to do so. Examples of this include the Our Staffordshire Community survey, an excellent collaboration between SCVYS and Staffordshire County Council, providing youth with a direct method to feedback to local decision makers and to help their County Council by sharing their views, and Make Your Mark, the UK’s largest youth consultation, returning bigger and better to Staffordshire for 2024.

• October – November 2023

  I actively involved young people in my area in my campaign, ensuring they knew I cared about their voice. Once I was elected, I began speaking to even more young people to gather their valuable thoughts, which will help me achieve as much as possible for them during my term.
